Hey everyone!!! Just letting you know on how we're doing over in the great WI state! We have had one local speaker this semester on Diversity (November), more psychological and attitude wise than veterinary work related. It took a while to get people together and committed but we are already planning our mentorship program for elementary students. Mrs. Lisa Greenhill is coming in February and we hope some other speakers we have in mind for the rest of the semester can make it to the school.We hope to have a dinner/party/get-together sometime in February and do also a movie showing on Black History month. We're also planning a salsa night (don’t know when yet) – maybe conjoined with the get-together. The club it’s a bit unorganized still but running and recognized already by the campus student organization office and SCAVMA, so we're on board! It's definitely very encouraging and comforting to hear about all the other schools doing awesome things!!! Way to go guys! Have a great year! =]
